As part of Zambian Partnership commitment, The River has set a goal to raise enough money to send 35 bikes to Zambia. Each bike cost $150. So, we’re encouraging families and individuals to bike for bikes. Consider biking to church or work and donating what you save in fuel. Or consider, running a little bike-a-thon in your neighbourhood and raising money that way. Or, do what one family at The River did and hold a garage sale in which you see (among other things) some bikes and donate the money to the project. Of course, if you hate biking, we’ll still gladly receive a donation! Please clearly mark your cheques “Zambian Bike Partnership”.
